The NEXT EverQuest was announced in Las Vegas place over this past weekend.

The game doesn't have an official name yet, so they are calling it "EverQuest Next" for the time being. SOE has started soliciting suggestions for the new MMO in the series. It's sounds like "EverQuest Next" will be a reboot of sorts, and apparently SOE made mention of being able to transfer characters from EQ 1 & 2. Few details are available at this time.
