Rappelz online is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game. The game is developed by the Korean company Gala Labs, formerly nFlavor, and published by the Californian company Gala-Net Inc. It is published in Europe by Gala Networks Europe in French, German, Italian, Polish and Turkish. As of October 2008, Rappelz was also being published by the South East Asia based game publishing company AsiaSoft, as RappelzSEA, however was later dropped by the company on September 1, 2009. The game was also published in Arabic for MENA gamers by the Emirati company Game Power 7. The game was released under a different title known as Hope of Nations, and was launched on March 16, 2009. A new version released 15 July 2010 is by the publisher EagleGame in the Philippines.
There are currently several different versions of the game: Philippines, Korean, Japanese, US (global), Frence, German, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Chinese, Hong Kong, Taiwanese, Russian, and Arabic. The Korean version, being the first and major version, receives updates and expansions first, which then filters down in the different versions.
The French version of Rappelz started its beta on January 30, 2008. It was closed again on February 11, 2008, after which on February 14, 2008 the French Rappelz version went live. The live version opened with server Pyroxia. On March 13, 2008, a second server Kentauros was opened.
The German version of Rappelz started its beta on January 30, 2008. On February 14, 2008 the German Rappelz version went live. The live version opened with server Horus. On March 13, 2008, a second server Bastet was opened, a third server "Phönix" was also opened.
The Turkish version of Rappelz started its beta on May 28, 2009.
The Polish version of Rappelz commenced registration for its beta on September 10, 2009.
The Italian version of Rappelz started its beta on February 16, 2010.
Russian version of MMORPG Rappelz started its beta on August 8, 2008. On September 8, 2008 Russian Rappelz went live. There are currently 4 servers in service. They are: Pantera, Siren, Salamander, Cyniks. The largest Rappelz update Navislamia was launched on May 4, 2009.
